ABOUT US

Palayan City Water District was organized in 1988 and issued with CCC#343. The institution is the result of the conversion of an old LGU waterworks association that serves Palayan for more than 20 years. It can be told that the people behind PCWD are no longer new in the water industry. PCWD’s water system had been built and completed under LWUA loans and became operational on December 1995. The recent LWUA loan was sourced from NLIF of more than P10 million in 2011. The turned-over service connections had been reduced as the new management under GM Gerardo Lope Calling, a former LGU Engineer, started disconnection drive against illegal and delinquent service connections that includes water service accounts of Palayan City’s well-off political clans. In 2001, PCWD moved and been conducting business in its own building in the LGU donated lot adjacent to a public elementary school in Brgy. Caimito, Palayan City, where its second largest pump station (10 lps) with the elevated steel tank (100 cu.m capacity) stands. When steel tank became operational. Almost 100% of all Service connection enjoy 24 hour water service. The good GM did not sleep on his laurels and water service had been expanded to far off barangay, Brgy Militar. When this expansion project is completed and turned over to the WD, 2,000 more service connections are expected to be served. Twenty seven years later, Palayan Water District has seen remarkable developments in terms of overall viability and production efficiency. As of December 2014, the district operates 6 pumping stations 24/7 to cater to the demand of its 3819 Total service connections..
